European Roller

One of my most favourite birds in the World, slightly understated at first glance but once the wings are open the true colours of this amazing magical bird are shown. I have been blessed with the sight of this Roller once in my life in the Rajaji National Park in Northern India around 2005. If you see one let me know

Meat Market

What an awfully graphical image? Well I managed to just about catch this snap of a trolley packed with what I can only guess is goat carcasses being ferried along Whitechapel High Street much to my amusement. I thought it should be shared with you that this is how your meat travels before it ends up in your biriani. Nice....

Mark Ronson + Boy George

Here is the link for the new video by Saam for Mark Ronson's new track featuring Boy George, it's definitely my favourite track off the album so I'm happy to see my little feature in it. A few of our other East End mates are also featuring in this one but it's quite hard to make out most of them. Thanks guys for a fun days shooting. Extras Styled By Nova Dando. Check out Christian's bottom too.

Some Photos of Mine

Just had a quick look at my flickr that I just haven't used for ages to be honest, it was a certain blogging period of my life, which slowed down and never regained itself. It's nice to have some memories and nice images to look at that remind me of good times.

YVETTE MORETTI

I was blessed on my last day in Paris this afternoon by the most sublime lady, YVETTE MORETTI, Yvette has been on "the scene" for years, at time of press she is 72 years young and going strong with her shop STENDHAL PARIS on rue Saint Honore, "the street of where fashion comes from, and just up the road from one of my favourite shops in the world COLETTE.
In the end I got myself a little closing present for Fashion Week which is a scent by Bugatti called PUREBLACK - to me is a sweet "scent homme" with undertones of daddy. Love Love Love.
See you next time Madamoiselle Moretti... Was just a great ending to a great week ...Je Taimbien X

Dunhill

The last show of the season for me, tired, worn out, sore feet and almost hungover from being awake. Had an amazing time. Dunhill which was hosted in The Ritz, Place Vend
ôme for me sums up modern London male, may a refined, West/'Sloany' Londoner. Very chic, relaxed and stiff at the same time. Great work from Kim Jones modernising the British classic brand, I absolutely love it.

Paris Gay Pride

A little summit summit from Gay Pride in Paris this sumer 2010...
The same as any huge gay calendar event anywhere in the world. Trannys, nannies, leather and rainbows, with cheesy 'bangin' music and a carnivorous carnival atmosphere; FUN(NY).

At the same time cuation is always required...

(a bar in Le Marais)

Henrik Vibskov

Interesting as always, this time the theme was some what nautical slash summer fait with buntings and wooden boats slash wheelbarows, pushed by models in the SS11 coolection for Henrik Vibskov. Set in the same venue as last years SS show in Lycée Turgot on rue de Turbigo
the wears where somewhat colourful as you would expect see; gq.com/style.

Diane Pernet

It has been nice hanging out this week in Paris for Mens shows. It was also nice sitting on the fashion bus next to Diane P from the WALTER VAN BEIRENDONCK show to K Van Assche. A little shot of her here.

Fuck Kappauf

Kris Van Assche

I had a bit of a mucho mucho day on the 25th, Kris Van Assche was one of the designers I managed to catch, set in a wearhouse, with a hunge white colorama roll Id say
about 50M long as the catwalk. Clean lines, greys and light blues, typical models and a top setting. I loved it but I will always love his SS collections.

Mens Fashion Week - Paris ... Yohji yamamoto

In true Yohji Style, the show was cool, set in a salon with bright lighting and wooden floorboards, there were feelings of tudor, floral and brocade - which I have seen a lot of so far this week. The music ranging from harpsichorded classical to tranquil techno, you can check the collection out on Mens Style.

Heres is a shot I got of the fluro lighting above my seat.

Mens Fashion Week - Paris ...

Amazing, is all I can say from the begging.

Just some great people, lovely silhouettes and patterns so far.
My main mission was to make sure Liam from Black Daniel had an easy time for his attendence to the Issey Miyake show and Looked amazing there and to complete my bit for Notion Magazine which you will see on the shelves in August.

Summer Time Wardrobes

I have most of my summer wardrobe but still adding to it for little while now, well let see how long we have stable or even nice weather for.

Here is a little scribble of a pair of shorts that I have designed, I really like the drawing myself
and thought I would share it with you.

I need to make them which I just haven't got round due to not having the time.

I have some amazing Ideas for colour palettes and fabrics, which will make the final beautiful. the insipration for the design and drawing comes from The Summer in Spain ("Mallorca, with the Kids"), Boats, Water and the Sky, Day Turning into Night and and Spanish Tourist Information Bureaus in the mid 90's.

If anyone wants to help me create them then if you like them for yourself we will make two pairs you keep on and I keep the other. Ill get the fabric and choose different colour for panels. Just a chilled out project but need to get them done soon cos the summer will be over...!

Just need someone to help who can make patterns and cut properly and is interested in the photo...

Get in touch.

WATERLOO

I was making lots of connections on the tube through London last week and decided that the colours of all the lines that connect in Waterloo Station make a wicked colour palette. Look similar to Marnis last collection wich featured the browns, greens and greys. Check it out...

Astrid Andersen

I like it...... A recent graduate from RCA MA Menswear who I enjoyed helping out being a little hip hop super hero model for her for the day, I'm gay but so pulling it off.

Astrid has some great references obviously to the 80s, music and sports imagery and she really mixes luxury and sport in a clever way. I got to wear mink teamed with jersey and felt whilst feeling like I could launch my new East Coast hip hop single after wearing these garms for the day!

I don't need to tell you but just realise this is one chicken you should be looking forward to see as a menswear designer from the new gen in London.

The jacket in this shot was used in i-D by Simon Foxton and is out this issue go buy it. The clothes are so original and effortlessly cool, colourful and takes so many flamboyancies that often come through in Black and Asian mens styles which I love, "so camp yet such a man" always" and the model well what can I say, cute... and if you're a stylist like a lot of us in this cith then you should get one of these in your portfolio...

River Island has been nurturing young graduate MA talent for the past 6 years and sponsoring Graduate Fashion Week which is an amazing touch of corporate responsibility and is putting something back from the brand to the kids, they need us! River Island has also managed to beat likea of HM whilst keeping quailty to , Here are some previews of what are to come from A Anderson and the store, wicked !
